The price of root turmeric increased sharply in all the markets said Krishnamurthy a trader. The root turmeric increased by ₹400 a quintal at the Erode Cooperative Marketing Society, ₹300 and ₹200 at Erode Turmeric Merchants Association sales yard and Regulated Marketing Committee respectively. The finger turmeric decreased by ₹350 at the Regulated Marketing Committee and ₹150 at the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association sales yard.
