Wales international Jasmin Dutton is finally set to make her debut for Llandudno Ladies in the Welsh Cup this weekend.

Dutton signed for Tudno in late August, but due to FA delays granting international clearance which have affected so many clubs in Wales, the 25-year-old is yet to kick a ball for the Seasiders.

That is set to change on Sunday, when Llandudno host Corwen in the opening round of the national knockout.

Dutton, who hails from Kinmel Bay, was with Tranmere Rovers Ladies from 2000-11.

She represented Wales at under-15, U-17, U-19 and full senior levels from 2003-11.

A left-back or central midfielder, she played in multiple European Cup, World Cup and Algarve Cup matches for Wales across the age groups, winning more than 40 caps in total. She captained the U-15, U-17, and U-19 teams during European and World Cup qualifying campaigns.

Between 2007-11, the former Deeside College student appeared 22 times for Wales Under-19s, netting six goals.

From 2009-11, Dutton earned eight full Wales caps and scored once, in a 15-0 hammering of Azerbaijan in a World Cup qualifier at Newtown.

She was also voted Welsh Girl Player of the Year in 2009.

An ex-pupil of Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan, Abergele, she moved to America to further her football career in 2011 and spent seven years in the States before returning home this summer.

This Sunday will see Llandudno beginning their bid for glory in the competition which delivered the most joyous achievement in their brief history to date.

Back in 2015/16, Sarah Colville's side made it all the way to the final of the FAW Women's Cup, where they lost 5-2 to Cardiff City FC Women at Newtown.

After failing to record a Welsh Premier victory so far this season, their only success coming against Caernarfon Town in the League Cup, Tudno would dearly love to embark on another long run in the national knockout.

Standing in their way on Sunday are Corwen, a newly-formed ladies team playing in North Wales Women's League Division Two. The newcomers have made quite a decent start, winning two and losing two to date.

Other first round northern ties

Kinmel Bay v Caernarfon Town

The Cofis have struggled since moving up to the Welsh Premier, having dominated North Wales Women's League Division One when winning the title in 2016/17, Kinmel among their opponents that season.

Bay have been much improved in their last two outings and could make life difficult for the Canaries.

Northop Hall v Airbus

The all-Flintshire derby should be a lively encounter. The pair have met once already this season in the North Wales League, a hard-fought contest ending one-apiece.

Rhyl v Amlwch Town

Welsh Premier Rhyl will be favourites when they host a much-improved Amlwch Town of NWWFL Division Two.

The Lilywhites have not won since the opening match of the season, while Amlwch have made a good start in the league, winning two out of three.

Denbigh Town v Llanfair

Town face a difficult assignment at home to Llanfair, who are current joint-leaders of NWWFL Division One.

On home ground, however, and on their best form, Denbigh cannot be counted out.
