'Singhasan Khaali Karo Ke Janata Aaati Hai'- this is perhaps the most remembered sentence that Lok Nayak had ever pronounced in his life time. More so, because after this Janata Party that was formed under his guidance won the electoral battle- the first non-Congress party to form a government at the Centre. Jayaprakash Narayan, fondly known as JP or Lok Nayak, was born on 11 October 1902 in Sitabdiara village (then in Bihar, now in Uttar Pradesh). Widely considered a bright star in Indian politics, Jayaprakash Narayan breathed his last on 8 October 1979.
