NEW DELHI: Domestic equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty suffered massive opening losses on Thursday, mirroring wekness in global stocks after a scary sell-off in US stocks overnight.
The NSE Nifty index was trading 307 points down at 10154, while BSE Sensex was down 1029 points at 33,732.
Only ONGC, with a gain of 1.92 per cent, was up in the 30-share Sensex index at that time.

- Filtra Consultants and Engineers plunged 19.89 per cent to Rs 14.50.
- Walchand Peoplefirst suffered a loss of 18.57 per cent and was trading at Rs 66.45.
- Shalimar Wires Industries was trading at Rs 13.50, down by 18.18 per cent.
- Tarmat was 17.46 per cent down at Rs 26.
- Faze Three was 16.49 per cent down at Rs 43.05.
- Tejnaksh Healthcare was 16.28 per cent down at Rs 52.20.
- Emmessar Biotech & Nutrition was 16.27 per cent down at Rs 23.15.
- Prime Urban Development India was trading with a loss of 15.78 per cent at Rs 10.30.
- Garnet International plunged 15.49 per cent to Rs 63.
- Shree Ajit Pulp And Paper was trading 14.11 per cent down at Rs 210.55.
Axis Bank was the top loser in the Sensex basket, plunging 5 per cent. It was followed by State Bank of India, Vedanta, YES Bank,
Bharti Airtel and Tata Steel.
