Titanium World Technology Sdn Bhd (TWT), a Malaysian multinational firm focused on solutions in hygiene and healthcare space, on Thursday announced its foray into the India market through a subsidiary.
SmartCoat India Pvt Ltd, the subsidiary, will kickstart the marketing operations in the country on October 14 with two anti-microbial products – SmartCoat Nano for institutional and industrial customers and Armor8 for households.
Executive Director and India Operations Head of SmartCoat India Uttam Singh said after the national launch in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, the company wanted to take the products across South India by March.
For SmartCoat, the company was in discussion with several prospective bulk customers, including South Central Railway and government hospitals, he added. TWT Technical Director Heng said India was a big market and the company planned to introduce more products.
On plans for a manufacturing unit in India, the senior executives, including Director of TWT and MD of SmartCoat India Ramakrishna Kadiyam said the company may consider the option after 4 or 5 years.
