‘TJS only seeking respectable treatment in grand alliance’

Hoping that the irritants in the way of grand alliance of Opposition parties (Congress, TDP, CPI and TJS) to contest the coming polls will be resolved, the TJS has ruled out any tie-up with the BJP if it did not happen.

The TJS will not go against the spirit of alliance which was already achieved in a broad understanding between the four parties, Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) president M. Kodandaram told a news conference here on Thursday. Mr. Kodandaram said the party was only sore that the process of finalising the alliance was needlessly delayed.

It is advisable that the alliance was concluded at the earliest so that the four parties focussed can focus on campaign. The parties could campaign about their strong agenda and steal a march over the ruling TRS.

He also said that the TJS had sought a respectable treatment for the party in the process of forging alliance.

A common agenda of parties which was backed up by the will to set up an implementing machinery and respectable position for TJS were of concern to the party.
