Man dies after fight at Mount Lawley construction site

A man has died after an altercation at a Mount Lawley construction site on Tuesday afternoon.

WAtoday understands the man, aged in his 60s, died from injuries sustained during a fight with another person.

It is believed the incident occurred at a Thomas Building site on Walcott Street where a four-storey mixed-use office and residential building is being constructed.

Police are investigating circumstances surrounding the man's death after attending the site just after 2.15pm.

The deceased man required urgent medical attention, and was taken by St John Ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital but later died as a result of his injuries.

Thomas Building has declined to comment.
