Tirupur: A 42-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday for sexually abusing a nine-year-old girl at Madathukulam.
Police identified the accused as P Murugasamy of Myvadi in Madathukulam, a labourer. He abducted the girl when she visited a shop owned by his mother, police sources said. “He sexually abused her at a secluded place behind his house. The girl informed her mother about the incident, who lodged a police complaint,” a police officer said.
Udumalpet All women police booked Murugasamy under POCSO act and remanded him in judicial custody.
