SFI sweeps elections in colleges affiliated to University of Kerala. Elections were held in 64 colleges and SFI won 62 student unions. Student wing of CPM won in unopposed in several colleges. After the results were announced the SFI activists celebrated the victory at different places in Thiruvananthapuram. During celebrations some untoward incidents reported from some places. Trouble started when some SFI workers spotted members of KSU. They attacked them and the police deployed inside the campus. Clashes were reported from other parts of the city as well.
