SailPoint appoints APAC channel sales director

Former ​IBM A/NZ channel sales manager Craig McGregor has joined US-based identity security vendor, SailPoint as its first Asia Pacific channel sales director.

Former IBM A/NZ channel sales manager Craig McGregor has joined US-based identity security vendor, SailPoint as its first Asia Pacific channel sales director.

SailPoint’s cyber security products provides identity governance, password management, compliance controls, access request and automated provisioning, giving users complete visibility into who is accessing files, the risk it represents and the action that can be taken, linking people, applications, data and devices.

McGregor had a brief stint at IBM, leaving five months into the channel sales manager role. He previously spent more than three years as the channel sales director for Check Point Software, who recently appointed Hamish Soper to the role.

Between June 2012 and May 2015, McGregor was the national partner manager at Symantec. During his time at Symantec, he was responsible for managing Symantec’s largest partners in the A/NZ region and incorporated business and marketing planning, executive relationship management, sales pipeline development and partner enablement.

McGregor was also the A/NZ channel sales manager at Adobe for more than five years.

In the local market, SailPoint customers include Vanguard, Catholic Education Western Australia and Medibank.

In November last year, SailPoint made its debut on the New York Stock Exchange and in September appointed its board member, William Bock, as its chairman, as it continued to transition from being privately- owned by Thoma Bravo, to a publicly trading company.
