Man murdered near Ambala City

A 24-year-old man has been murdered at village near city, police said on Wednesday.

The police have registered a murder case against the accused Balwinder and two others, they said.

In his complaint lodged with the police, the deceased's brother said Jaswinder had gone out to meet someone on Tuesday afternoon, but he did not return till late evening, after which family members started looking for him.

When the family members reached the village bus stand late in the night they found two youths holding Jaswinder, while another youth was hitting him on the face with a brick, said, adding that seeing the family members the assailants fled the spot immediately.

On the way to the hospital, Jaswinder succumbed to his injuries, said. SHO of Panjokhra Police Station said based on Rajesh's complaint the police have identified one accused as Balwinder and lodged a case of murder against him and two others.

Jaswinder worked as a painter, Rajesh stated in the police complaint.
