It would come to power at the Centre too, he says

Andhra Pradesh would gain only if the Congress came to power because the party would definitely come to power at the Centre, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President N Raghuveera Reddy said on Tuesday.

The former Minister participated in the door-to-door campaign “Intintiki Congress” in Krishna Lanka here.

By giving a token donation of ₹1 every family was developing a bond with the party which would come to power both in the State and at the Centre in 2019. Only this combination would be of benefit to Andhra Pradesh. No use if other parties came to power, he said.

He said party activists were taking part with tremendous enthusiasm in the campaign that would cover all the 44,000 booth committees. He had already participated in six districts till now. Andhra Pradesh would be granted the Special Category Status as soon as the UPA government was sworn in, he said.

Mr. Raghuveera Reddy said it was not proper for Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhara Rao to ridicule the people who performed harati to water in the drought-prone Anantapur district. Why should KCR ridicule the effort behind the piping of water through the Handri-Neeva Scheme for 300 km?
