Any sports fan meeting his/her favourite fan whom they adore is a dream come true moment. And a similar moment happened with a female when she saw Anil Kumble during a flight from Bengaluru to Mumbai. A fan named Sohini, took to Twitter mentioning spotting Kumble and the instance about how the former cricketer reminded her of the time when he had bowled with a bandaged jaw during a game against West Indies.
Sohini, a journalist tweeted, “The legendary @anilkumble1074 in my BLR-MUM flight. Glanced at him once and was reminded of that game in West Indies where he bowled with a bandaged jaw. Teared up a bit. Gawwddd, I’m such a sucker for cricket memories.” “I want to go up to @anilkumble1074 and say a ‘Thank You’ for all the joy, all the victories, all the memories. But, I am getting cold feet,” she further wrote.

Sohini didn’t expect Kumble to reply to her tweet but tagged him anyway. Later much to her surprise, Kumble acknowledges her tweet and replied to her saying, “Please feel free to come over and say hi after take off”. Later Sohini posted an image of Kumble’s autograph on her boarding pass. She while sharing the picture wrote, “Will have to get a boarding pass framed now. Thank you, @anilkumble1074. Someday I want to learn humility from you.”

This actually proves that despite all the success, getting legendary status, Kumble’s humbleness is enough to win your heart. In his career, Kumble has played 132 Tests in which he took 619 wickets at an average of 29.65. In cricketing world, Kumble was known for his calmness and aggression on field.
