Residents raise civic issues across four sectors of Noida

NOIDA: A residents'collective including RWAs from sectors 39, 28, 29, 37 as well as traders’ representative from sector 18 held a meeting with authority officials on Sunday over slew of civic issues and sought resolutions on them in the said sectors.
The issues included problems related to encroachments, parking, supply of potable drinking water, stray dog menace, cleaning of drains and sewer lines, digging of roads in Sector 18, pruning of trees and daily traffic jams at entry points from Delhi at DND and City Centre Metro Station.

“The Sunday’s meeting was very constructive as a host of decisions were taken and resolutions sought. Rajeev Tyagi, general manager, Noida Authority announced that water harvesting will be done on a large scale, green pathways to curb dust pollution, ongoing projects of LED lights are underway in phased manner along with resurfacing of roads which was halted due to monsoon earlier has begun,” said Brigadier (rtd) Ashok Hak, resident of sector 28.

Hak added that while Tyagi assured redressal of traffic jam at sector 15 A soon (attributed due to faulty cut/barricade), he also gave instructions for sewer/drain cleaning on priority.

While S K Jain, president, Sector 18 Market Association raised concerns regarding dug-up roads and overall mess in the market area, Tyagi assured redressal of the issue soon along with completing of pruning of trees and plants across the said sectors currently underway.

The meeting that was held in the community centre of sector 39 was attended by P S Jain, president, RWA-NCR; Vimal Sharma, president-RWA Sector 50; Vatsala Parasher, president-RWA Sector 39; Sunil Sethi, preseident-RWA Sector 31 and others.
