HYDERABAD:
Telangana IT minister K T Rama Rao on Tuesday questioned
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu over the TDP alliance with the Congress. In a series of tweets, KTR took potshots at the TDP national president by retweeting some of Naidu’s past tweets in which he had directed his ire at the Congress.
KTR dug up a tweet of Naidu on February 12, 2014 in which he had said: “I predict an end to Congress rule at both Centre and state by the time we complete ‘praja garjanas’ in all district. End to Italian
mafia raj.” Retweeting this, KTR commented, “So the ‘Italian mafia raj’ has new friends now. Guess who it is? Now you know why I call it Maha Ghatiya Bandhan.”
Another tweet of Naidu was of April 26, 2014 in which he said, “Rahul and Sonia’s newfound love on TG is quite mischievous. When was the last time they visited and what have they done for its development?” KTR’s response to this on Tuesday was: “Another pearl of wisdom from CBN garu. If Scamgress leaders Rahul and Sonia didn’t do squat for Telangana development till 2014, what changed since then?”
K T Rama Rao pointed out another tweet of Naidu posted on March 24, 2014 in which he had said, “Our aim is to make nation free of corrupt Congress. Will do whatever is best to ensure it. History shows we were unselfish in alliances.” In his response, KTR repeated Naidu’s tweet “Our aim is to make nation free of corrupt Congress” and commented, “Famous last words.”
