The Central Crime Station sleuths apprehended a person for allegedly conspiring to obtain a loan of ₹ 14.5 lakh from the Telangana Grameena Bank after submitting fabricated documents like property title deeds.
Police identified the accused as B Sreekanth. He allegedly colluded with the manager of the Laxmi Nagar Branch in Saidabad. Police said the accused hid the fact that the property whose documents were submitted was already under mortage with another public sector bank.
Mr. Seekanth, police said, caused a loss to the Telangana Grameena Bank. The case is being investigated.
