CM promises basic amenities in tribal areas

GANDHINAGAR: Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani chaired a meeting of Tribal Advisory Council in Gandhinagar on Tuesday.

Rupani said, "We have ensured the adequate provision of medical colleges and health facilities in tribal areas. Similarly, we also wish to ensure the provision of various other necessary services in the area."

He added that Narmada and Dahod from Gujarat have been included in the list of Aspirational Districts, out of the 117 districts across the country, by the Central Government. Dahod has secured the top position while Narmada is ranked at 9th. "There is a great scope of further augmenting the level of development in Narmada," the CM added.

Minister of tribal development Ganpatsinh Vasava took an overview of the various developmental works and schemes going on in the tribal districts.

Minister Ramanbhai Patkar, MLAs of tribal areas, chief principal secretary to the CM K Kailashnathan, chief secretary Dr JN Singh, and various other senior officials were present during the meeting.
