
Pro Kabaddi 2018 Highlights, Tamil Thalaivas vs Telugu Titans, Dabang Delhi vs Gujarat Fortunegiants: Tamil Thalaivas sank to a second successive loss against a resurgent Telugu Titans. The latter had a horrid season last year chiefly due to their papery defence but the effect of Abozar Mighani’s addition was pretty clear in Chennai. In the first match of the season, Dabang Delhi rallied to somehow hold Gujarat Fortunegiants to a 32-32 tie.
A win to start the season for the Titans and a second successive loss for the Thalaivas. Despuite the fact that the Titans managed to remain in the lead for much of the match, it was a close affair. Telugu Titans have shown that, unlike last season, they possess a defence to be reckoned with.
Well, the visitors need to keep their cool now. Just second away from starting the new season with a victory. They manage to dismiss Ajay Thakur and Rahul Chaudhari goes in to eat up the seconds.

No change in the scoreline for four successive raids. Thalaivas then unsuccessfully review a dismissal for Athul. But then Rahul Chaudhuri is somehow held back by the Thalaivas and the hosts nick one point.
Ajay Thakur keeps collecting points and Thalaivas manage to trap Nilesh Salunke. They have now closed the gap to four points.
All round brilliance there from the Telugu Titans. Manjeet Chillar, Athul MS and Amit Hooda have rallied the defence while Rahul Chaudhari and Athul have taken the attack to the opposition.

Dabang Delhi have rallied in the last 15 minutes to hold Gujarat to a draw. They would have won it too had Ravinder Pahal not carelessly given a point to Sachin just after they took the lead for the first time in the match. Delhi have shown some real heart to take three points here.

What a comeback from, Delhi. They have taken the second half by storm here.
First all out of the match in favour of Delhi. Gujarat were always on the edge and they had too few players on their side of the mat for some time now. Sachin could not get in a succesfull raid and now the gap is down to two points.
Just about 7 minutes remaining and situation remains the same. Gujarat ran away with the points and Delhi are now slowly clawing their way back. There were just three defenders left in the Gujarat half but Pawan Kadian was dismissed and Gujarat have got their noses back in front.
Five point lead at half time for Gujarat. It has been a good start for last season's runners up. They are showing that their defence remains as strong as ever. It has to be noted, though, that Delhi have been hurt by some very sluggish play in attack and defence.
What a start this is for Gujarat. They have already inflicted two all put points. As it turns out, Gujarat defence is certainly hurt without the Iranian duo, but its not depleted.

Abozar Mighani and Fazel Attrachali ensured last season that raiders throughout the league would have bad days whenever they faced Gujarat. The pair pulled Gujarat to the final last season and then took Iran to a gold medal finish at the 2018 Asian Games. Gujarat Fortunegiants have faced Dabang Delhi three times so far and all three matches have ended in victories for them. But this time, it might not be that straightforward for them. Both of them are no longer with Gujarat this season and so, this is pretty much a new team.
