Singer’s 100th 911 Is Lunar Silver-Finished Porsche Perfection

Singer Vehicle Design has recently completed its 100th Porsche 911, with the landmark car paying a visit to Jay Leno’s Garage.

Finished in Lunar Silver over Blackberry leather, you could say that the 100th Singer 911 is an one-off but then again every Singer 911 is tailor made to suit the exact requirements of the owner.

The lucky owner of the car opted for the more powerful engine option, a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six unit with 390hp paired to a six-speed manual transmission. Although the car was mainly built for the road, he also opted for the more aggressive and bespoke Öhlins coilover suspension setup.

As with every Singer 911, the donor car is a 1991 964-generation model. The car was completely stripped and media blasted down to bare metal, before Singer replaces most of the bodywork with its own backdated carbon-fiber body parts. These include basically everything, apart from the door skins which retain their steel structure due to safety regulations.

Every nut and bolt has been replaced with new ones during the procedure while the new carbon-fiber body means that the final car is around 500lbs (226kg) lighter than the original, making it not only achingly beautiful to look at but also a blast to drive.

Of course, if for some reason you want something more extreme, there is always the option of the DLS car. For the rest of us, a “simple” Singer 911 represents everything we could possibly ask from a car.
