AAP’s aam aadmi make a beeline for SAPAKS

When a ship sinks… the … are the first ones to flee. This fits well with the current status of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) here as several workers and office-bearers of the party are flocking to the SAPAKS. The Samanya Pichchda Alpsankhayak Kalyan Samaj (SAPAKS) Party, which came into existence on the grounds of protest of Atrocity Act and caste-based reservations, is taking a toll on Kejriwal’s party.

Most SAPAKS leaders who are leading the party’s poll march were once office-bearers of AAP and activists, including the working president of SAPAKS in Indore Satish Sharma. “I was the convenor of AAP in Alirajpur but was expelled from the party two years ago for raising voice against injustice by party leaders. I am thankful to the leaders who expelled me from the party which doesn’t move on the path on which they established the party,” working president of SAPAKS Satish Sharma said.

Not only Sharma, the state spokesperson of AAP, legal cell member of AAP, founder members of AAP in MP and various others have also boarded the SAPAKS Party “bus” to “reach the state assembly.” Media in-charge of SAPAKS Party Hemant Joshi said, “I was the state spokesperson of AAP but left the party as it was not moving on what it had promised and even became the refugee camp of BJP.” He said, about 200 members of AAP have joined SAPAKS Party and the official membership will be given in couple of days. Not only in Indore but people from across the state are looking forward to SAPAKS Party after leaving AAP. Meanwhile, Sharma said their party will release the first list of the candidates by Dussehra as the work on the list is undergoing. “We have about 3-4 aspiring candidates from SAPAKS Party from each constituency of Indore,” he added.

They are not our members anymore: AAP
Spokesperson of AAP, Hiresh Hatwalne said, “Satish Sharma was expelled from the party two years ago and he was not the member of AAP from long. The other ones have also left the party or were expelled about one or two years ago.” Hatalwalne said AAP was running on the same path they had promised to the people.
