PM to unveil 64-ft-tall statue of Sir Chhotu Ram

will unveil a 64-feet-tall statue of Sir at the latter's native village in Sampla in Haryana's district on Tuesday, officials said.

"The contributions of Sir to society cannot be forgotten. He is an inspiration for our future generations. Later in the day, the PM will address a public meeting, 'Deenbandhu Smriti Rally' here," told reporters here on Sunday after visiting the site of the statue, which is also the venue for the public meeting.

for Health and Engineering, Banwari Lal, who accompanied the CM during the site visit, said, "and recipient has sculpted the 64-feet-tall statue. As many as 5,500 farmers from the state donated from half kg to two kg iron for construction of the statue."

On the day, the PM will also lay the foundation stone for a rail refurbishing and rehabilitation factory in Barhi, Sonipat.

Other than Khattar and few ministers, the functions will be attended by Satyadeo Narain Arya, Acharya Devvrat and Satya Pal Malik, the governors of Haryana, and respectively.

Further, Union Ministers Birender Singh, who is grandson of Sir Chottu Ram, Piyush Goyal, Krishan Pal Gurjar and from Deepender Singh Hooda are expected to be present during the unveiling ceremony.

"The unveiling of Sir Chhotu Ram's statue is an honour for all the farmers in the country. On the occasion, the will visit the museum based on Sir Chhotu Ram's life, where scenes recreated from his life and items belonging to the would be put on display," for Health and Engineering, said.

Meanwhile, tight security arrangements have been put in place in in view of the PM's visit.
