Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 could be getting an upgrade soon, Zenfone Max Pro M2 spotted

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone Max M2 were spotted on a European certification website with Android Oreo onboard.

When it comes to the operating system, the listing mentions that both the devices will ship with “Android version 8 pre-installed” although there is no information if the OS version is Android 8.0 or Android 8.1. The EEC certification implies that the smartphones are ready to go into production. Of course, the new generation of smartphones will bring updated features and hardware but there is no information on the specifications of the smartphones.

Asus launched its Zenfone Max Pro M1 smartphone in April with a large 5000mAh battery, Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor and stock Android operating system. It's the company’s first smartphone to ditch the ZenUI and Asus promised that the smartphone will receive the next two major Android updates. The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 was launched in three variants 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage.

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 features a 5.99-inch IPS full HD+ Full View display with Trupallete and Ecopix features, which allow for better colour reproduction and contrast ratio respectively. In the camera department, the Zenfone Max Pro M1 comes with a 13MP + 5MP dual rear sensors with “fast” autofocus and on the front, it comes with an 8MP camera. The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 comes with a dual SIM slot and a dedicated microSD card slot. The smartphone also features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and supports face unlock feature as well.
