LUCKNOW: More than a week has passed since Apple executive Vivek Tiwari was shot dead but his family said on Sunday that his widow Kalpana is yet to get an appointment letter as well as any intimation of allotment of government accommodation.
After Vivek's murder, the government had promised a job and accommodation on Kalpana's demand.
District administration officials said that they had received Kalpana's documents and the modalities are being completed.
Vivek was shot dead by a UP police constable on September 29. Kalpana has been told that she would be appointed as officer on special duty (OSD) to commissioner of Lucknow municipal corporation.
Kalpana's father, Ramesh Chandra Shukla said that the family has been given three cheques totaling Rs 40 lakh. "We have still to get confirmation about the job and house," he said. ADM (trans-Gomti) Anil Kumar told TOI that Kalpana's documents have been to government for approval. The proceedings of
house allotment are also going on and both will be provided, he added.
