It has projected several Union government schemes as those of State government: Laxman

BJP State president K. Laxman has alleged that the TRS government had misused and diverted the Central government funds sanctioned for the implementation of various welfare and developmental programmes.

Mr. Laxman was in Karimnagar town on Monday along with MP Bandaru Dattatreya and senior leaders of the party to review arrangements for the BJP national president Amit Shah’s Samarabheri public meeting scheduled to be held on October 10, at Ambedkar stadium in the town.

Talking to newsmen here on Monday, he charged that the State government had failed to implement the Central government’s Ayushman Bharath. The health insurance scheme was meant for the benefit of the people and provided corporate hospital treatment worth ₹5 lakh, when the Arogyasri health insurance of the State government covered medical benefit of only ₹2 lakh, he stated.

He also alleged that the SC sub-plan funds were diverted and utilised for the beautification of Hussainsagar project by the State government. He said the TRS government was scared of the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, adding that the former had renamed several Union government schemes as State government schemes.

Criticising care-taker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for not clarifying why elections were being held nine months before the scheduled time, he said this has resulted in bringing the administration in the State to a grinding halt..

Predicting that the TRS graph was declining with the elections round the corner, he said the surveys conducted by the TRS were showing that the party would be wiped out of the State. He alleged large-scale irregularities in the conduct of TSPSC group-4 examination.

He also launched a scathing attack against the Congress party for forging an alliance with the TDP, which had obstructed the formation of Telangana in 2009. He also questioned TJAC chairman M. Kodandaram, who had detached from the TDP during the Telangana Statehood movement for its policy, on forging alliance with TDP along with Congress.

Stating that people were fed up with the Congress, TDP and TRS, he said they were going with the slogan, BJP for change, for the elections and contest would from all the 119 seats.
