Alumni Meet at RGC

Ludhiana, October 8, 2018: The Alumni Association of Ramgarhia Girls College organized a get-together for old students in the college premises on Monday morning. It was a much awaited event for ex-students to catch-up with old friends, and to meet their teachers.
Principal Dr Inderjit Kaur, President of the Association, accorded a warm welcome to all the members. She said that the alumni of the college can contribute in a big way to their Alma Mater by inspiring students to choose the profession of their choice. Vice-President of the Alumni Association, Mrs. Kawaljit Kalsi, Principal, Ramgarhia Girls Senior Secondary School, who also happens to be alumnus of the college of 1982 batch, said that one’s college is responsible for grooming and chiseling its students. Mrs. Jagwinder Kaur, also Alumnus of the college of 1978 batch expressed her gratitude for her Alma mater.
Around hundred old students from different walks of life attended the meet. Students who had made their careers in the field of banking, teaching, and hotel industry shared their experiences and reminisced of days gone by.
Vijayta Dhand , Director,Managing Committee , Green Land Public School of 2000 batch talked of the role of Women education in making girls self sufficient and confident. They gave credit to the faculty of the college for giving them wings to fly. The event ended with a cultural programme by students of Post Graduate Department of Music. It was a day of thanks giving, sharing and committing to the cause of education.
