Young minds gave life to different wild animals on paper during the Wildlife Week 2018 celebrations organised by Pilikula Biological Park at Dr. Shivaram Karanth Pilikula Nisargadhama here on Sunday.

The park observed the Wildlife Week on the theme, Nature and Wildlife.

Children drew the pictures of their favourite animals such as tiger, elephant, tortoise during the competition on “Indian wild animals”.

The park had organised an open photography competition on the same topic.

The first and second prize winners of different categories of the competition as per the list provided by H. Jayaprakash Bhandary, director of the park, are as follows:

Open photography contest: Deepesh Puthiya Purayil, Deep Nivas, Kasaragod (I), Shashidharswamy Hiremath, Haveri (II).

Drawing competition: Category I Hansika Y., class I, Canara Higher Primary School, Urva (I), and Snithik N., LKG, Sharada Vidyalaya, Mangaluru (II).

Category II Sandesh K., Class III, Shubhodaya Vidyalaya (I), and Havish J., Class II, Shree Mahalingeshwara English Medium School, Surathkal (II).

Category III Mokshith Suresh, Class VII, Delhi Public School, MRPL (I), and Akhil Sharma, Class V, Canara Higher Primary, Dongerkeri (II).

Category IV Varshitha Kulal, Class VIII, SDM Mangalajyothi (I), and Mohammed Ashik, Class VIII, Lourdes High School, Bejai (II).

Fancy Dress Competition: Category I Snithik N., Sharada Vidyalaya, Mangaluru (I), and
