HYDERABAD: The general science question paper of Group-IV examination, which was conducted by
Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) on Sunday to fill lower-rung posts like junior assistants, came as a shocker for job aspirants as it was full of mistakes. The set 'A' question paper, which was supposed to have 150 multiple questions, had 160 instead. In between, there were missing question numbers and some questions appeared twice . Worse, examiners reportedly wasted about an hour-and-a-half before changing the question paper, leaving candidates fuming.
"I was shocked to see that my question paper had 160 questions, whereas the exam was supposed to be for 150 marks. The invigilator had no clue what to do and asked us to continue writing the test when we raised an alarm. Only after wasting more than an hour, they took our OMR sheet and question paper and gave us a new set," Kiran Kumar, who appeared for the exam, said, adding at least 90 candidates, who appeared for the exam at the exam centre, were given set 'A' question paper. "I don't understand how can TSPSC be so negligent . Performance in these exams can make or break our careers, they should have been more careful. Surprisingly, while set 'A' was replaced with set 'C' in the morning session, in the afternoon session, I was given set 'A' paper. Generally, candidates get the same set question paper in both the sessions, so I don't know if my answers will be valid or made us write just for the sake of it."Another candidate, on condition of anonymity, said
"They gave us extra OMR sheets, which were lying in the hall. I am not sure if the
barcode on the OMR sheet had any of my details and I am actually worried whether or not my answers will be evaluated."
