Watchmyscript steers to victory

Pune: Irfan Ghatal trained Watchmyscript pulled off a surprise win in the Threptin Fillies’ & Mares’ Stakes (Grade 3) Terms, Fillies and Mares, 3 years old and over, the feature event of Saturday’s Pune races. 
The fancied runners from Pune put up disappointing performances and their show only served to highlight the fact that they are rapidly on their decline. 

It was Watchmyscript from Bangalore  who picked up the Threptin Fillies’ & Mares’ Stakes (Grade 3) convincingly in what was expected to be a closely fought race. 

Watchmyscript, owned by M/s Marthand Singh Mahindra, Nitin Kumar Adiga, Irfan Ghatala and G. Surendranath, showed great temperament while pulling off a clinical victory. 

Quickly out of the gates, Zanara settled close behind leaders Auburn and Winter Renassance who were trying to outdo each other vying for the early lead. As they wheeled round the final curve, Zanara took charge early and soon. Watchmyscripty announced his arrival and went past Zanara just as she was stepping up the tempo. Lady In Lace started to cover ground briskly too, making up the deficit, getting closer to Watchmyscript. Lady In Lace  fought hard and held on to the runner-up slot and did a good job in keeping a determined Auburn at bay.
