RAJKOT:
In an eye-for-an-eye revenge case,
a man, whose son had allegedly murdered the father of two persons, was clubbed to death in Bajana village of Patadi taluka in Surendranagar district on Saturday evening.
The accused — Iqbal Khan Malek, Akbar Khan Malek, Salim Khan Malek,
Mehboob Khan Malek,
Moin Khan Malek and Hanif Khan Malek — murdered Habib Khan Malek (55).
“Iqbalkhan and Akbarkhan’s father Rehmatkhan Malek was murdered by Hanif Khan, the son of Habib Khan, over an old en mity. In order to avenge their
fat her’s killing, both Iqbalkhan and Akbarkhan decided to bump Habibkhan off,” said Bajana police station sub-inspector V M Kalotara.
Hanif is at present lodged in a jail for the murder of Rehmat Khan.
The accused waylaid Habibkhan and his wife Shyambai Malek (50) who were walking towards their home in Kamalpur village. The assailants thrashed Habib Khan with bats. When Shyambai tried to intervene, she too was attacked.
The couple was rushed to Bajana government hospital where Habib Khan was declared dead on admission. Police have launched a manhunt for the accused.
