Inauguration of HPC Laboratory at SVNIT today

Surat: An HPC Laboratory in the computer engineering department of Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), which has been developed with the help of two supercomputers Param Shavak-HPC and Param Shavak-Dl_GPU procured from C-DAC Pune, will be inaugurated on Monday. It will be inaugurated by Jaya Panvalkar, chairperson, core expert group for NSM, HRD, and Ashish Kuvelkar, senior director, HPC Technologies, C-DAC Pune, at the new building of computer engineering department of the institute.
An MOU had been signed between SVNIT and C-DAC to develop high performance computing research environment as a part of National Supercomputing Mission of Government of India which seeks to build a cluster of 70 supercomputers in the country to connect various academic and research institutions.
