Two new swine flu cases surface in city

Surat: Two fresh cases of swine flu were detected in Surat city on Sunday. This has taken the total number of swine flu patients in the city to 78, including two who succumbed to the deadly virus, this monsoon season.
A 68-year-old woman from Lajamani Chowk and a 21-year-old man from Godadara have been admitted to hospitals.

There are still 28 patients receiving treatment in different city hospitals for swine flu. Six are on ventilators and eight given oxygen support. No new case of swine flu was detected from Surat district on Sunday. The district had witnessed 18 swine flu cases this monsoon season with three deaths. tnn
