NOIDA: The
RWA federation has written to
Noida Authority CEO Alok Tandon demanding rationalisation of parking charges of multi-level parking, citing residents’ resentment at exorbitant rates and also at other designated spots at Rs 20 per hour.
“Even as authority has agreed to Noida Entrepreneurs Association (NEA) demand for free parking space for plot size up to 1800 sq meter following protest march and intervention of MP
Mahesh Sharma, our pending demand for rationalisation of parking charges in Noida city has still not been addressed,” said A N Dhawan, secretary general
Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations (FONRWA).
According to RWA federation, after the setting up of multi-level parking in sector 18, the parking rates which were fixed and notified were found to be very high. As a result, residents of Noida have been expressing their resentment on these high rates. “We feel that there is no justification, whatsoever, for an exorbitant rate of Rs.20/- per hour, even for the road-side parking and have urged CEO Tandon to urgently look into rationalising the current parking rates across Noida city,” said Dhawan.
The current parking rates at multi-level parking include Rs 30 for first two hours, then Rs 10 per hour for four wheeler. For two wheelers the parking charge is Rs 10 for first two hours and then Rs 5 per every hour whereas designated surface parking across Noida is Rs 20 per hour.
