Vadodara: Salesman of a luxury car showroom in city, who was arrested last month for offering warranty and service packages to customers privately ,was denied bail by a sessions court here.
Accused Nilesh Shah, who was arrested on September 12, used to offer packages ranging from Rs 75,000 to Rs three lakh to customers who had bought Audi cars from the showroom owned by Nixynova Motoren Private Limited. Shah approached the court requesting for bail while he was in judicial custody. He informed the court that he was wrongly booked in the case as the complaint was lodged after four years.

Shah’s bail plea was opposed by police through an affidavit in which they stated that he has cheated nearly 45 to 50 customers to the tune of Rs 17.6 lakh and the amount is yet to be recovered. It was also argued that since he does not have any property, he may run away and will not appear during the trial.tnn
