VARANASI: A 14-year-old class VIII student of a village in Khetasarai police station area of Jaunpur was kidnapped and later allegedly gang raped in a hotel room on Thursday.
While an FIR was lodged on Friday, no arrests were made till Saturday.
On Thursday morning, she was lured by her friend to a lonely spot where local musclemen bundled her into the SUV and allegedly gangraped her. In the afternoon, the girl was dumped outside her village. Inspector Khetasarai Jagdish Kushwaha said the girl was sent to district hospital for medical examination and treatment. An FIR against the SUV driver was lodged along with POCSO Act and SC/ST Act while three others were booked.
