Here we go again: Perth in for a wet week

While Perth has well and truly entered its spring months, it seems the weather forecast is yet to get the memo.

The Bureau of Meteorology has predicted five straight days of rain and thunderstorms for next week, with wild weather predicted from Tuesday through to next Sunday.

The wet weather is expected throughout October, with the bureau forecasting a wetter three months for most of WA, western South Australia, and parts of the east coast to the east of the Great Dividing Range.

However despite the wet weather, temperatures are expected to be more forgiving.

According to the bureau, the mercury will reach 26 degrees on Tuesday and will reach a low of only 14 through the week.

Next week's weather will mark a departure from the warm and sunny conditions typical of September and early October so far, which was interrupted with a short-lived severe weather warning on Wednesday.

However the bureau warned WA's Interior District forecasts historically had been very unpredictable to predict.
