AIFF to conduct baby football tourney in city

Vadodara: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) will hold a baby football tournament in city from November for five months. AIFF has selected city-based Rangers Football Academy (RFA) to conduct the tournament which will be called AIFF Rangers Baby League.
The tournament will be open for children in the age group of four to 13 years which will give boost to the development of the game at grassroot level and create competitive football culture among the kids. “Matches will be played on Sunday, which will help kids to participate without taking any pressure of studies,” said Mukesh Patel, director of RFA.

Matches of the tournament will be played at three venues – Shakti Arena 1 near Vasna-Bhayli Road, Shakti Arena 2 near Nilambar Circle and Don Bosco Snehalaya at Vishwamitri.

Around 400 to 500 children are expected to participate in the tournament. The organizers will divide them into 10 teams in each age group.
