Larte Design’s LR5 Kit Makes The Infiniti QX80 Look Bad To The Bone

Back in July, Larte Design gave us a preview of their LR5 tuning kit for the 2019 Infiniti QX80 full-size luxury SUV.

In the meantime, the Russian aftermarket company has built the real thing, and we find it looking almost as aggressive as in the renderings released two months ago.

We use the word “almost” because the rear bumper has a less brutal appearance than the one we saw in the sketches, the tailpipes are different and the trims that used to stick out from the bumper have been replaced by a more conventional design. The front end, however, appears to carry over largely unchanged.

Launched officially on September 24, the LR5 tuning kit consists of a massive radiator grille with V-shaped bars and with Larte Design’s logo at the center, a second grille sculpted in the bumper, large side intakes with integrated LED DRLs and a splitter at the bottom housing the fog lights.

The rear bumper features air vents on the sides and Larte-branded tailpipes for the Remus exhaust system. Other upgrades include the custom alloy wheels and the all-black exterior treatment — all the trim that is in chrome on the standard car is black on the LR5, including the badging.

Customers can order the body kit completely or as separate parts from Infiniti dealers, with delivery and installation estimated to take up to two weeks. The LR5 kit is available in the United States for a price of $15,990.
