Noida: Three held for murdering man over Rs 240 debt

Murder
The Gautam Budh Nagar Police arrested three men for allegedly killing a party worker of a Hindu fringe group in Noida on Thursday night.
Following the incident, hundreds of Bajrang Dal and other Hindu fringe groups, along with the deceased family members, surrounded the Sector 20 Police Station disrupting traffic.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Ajay Choudhary, who was shot dead on Thursday.
“The family has lodged a complaint against eight people. We have arrested three people. Several teams have been formed to nab others,” said a senior police officer.
During interrogation, the accused disclosed that Choudhary owed them Rs 240 in gambling. However, the family has alleged that Choudhary was against gambling and was killed for complaining about it to the cops.
“At 8:30 pm, one of the accused came to call him on the pretext of being called by other people outside. He was found shot in another block,” said Vijay Choudhary, victim’s older brother.
