PUNE: HR Interact (HRI) and Human Resource (HR) community in the city had organised an event - ‘Ru-Ba-Ru’. The event was held in association with Squats Pvt Ltd, a fitness and wellness organisation. The event was held on September 29.

HR Interact is a community of the Human Resource (HR) professionals working in different industries.

More than 160 HR and business professionals from over 100 companies in Pune attended this event. The aim was to bring HR and business professionals together on one platform to discuss some of the key concerns and expectations they have from each other.

Sudesh Verma, HRI co-founder, said, “We are fortunate to have built credibility with our audience in a short span of time. It is humbling to see the participants recognising the fact that we are a community with a purpose.”

Management committee (MC) member Manish Pipalwa stated that this was a first-of-its-kind event in the country and expressed desire to keep doing their best to make a difference.

Another member, Savita Shetty, said, “The event gave an opportunity to both HR and business professionals to express their views in the most candid manner and also arrive at solutions. We totally agree that no employee initiative can see success in its true sense until Business and HR become equal partners.”

The key outcomes of Ru-Ba-Ru from HR side focused on the importance of having competency framework, Gallup strengths finder, Personal Engagement Index and most crucially, transparency from both sides.

On the other hand, business professionals suggested alignment of priorities, quarterly forecast of manpower needs and HR reporting to business.

This was the third event by the empowered community in a span of six months. At the first event earlier this year, the participants planned the way forward for HRI and one of the key deliverables was Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

HRI charged a nominal fee as registration amount to the participants. The entire proceeds of the fund raised was donated to Sanmati Bal Niketan, which is an institution led by Sindhutai Sapkal.
