Rajinikanth, who is currently shooting in the Chunar area on the outskirts of Varanasi, for the Tamil film '
Petta', recently canned some scenes at the Koyala Mandi on the Mughalsarai route, a few kilometres away from Varanasi. The actor was seen in his much younger avatar and even enjoyed kulhar chai as part of the scene. A song sequence involving actor
Vijay Sethupathi was also canned in which he was also spotted dining with his gang at a make-shift dhaba (road-side eatery).
The film, which is directed by
Karthik Subbaraj, has a long shooting schedule of nearly a month in and around the holy city.

Despite a tight schedule, Rajini, according to a source, "has expressed his desire to visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple. The Thalaiva plans to visit the temple soon on one of the off days."
