Rajini shoots at Koyala Mandi in Varanasi

Superstar Rajinikanth, who is currently shooting in the Chunar area on the outskirts of Varanasi, for the Tamil film 'Petta', recently canned some scenes at the Koyala Mandi on the Mughalsarai route, a few kilometres away from Varanasi. The actor was seen in his much younger avatar and even enjoyed kulhar chai as part of the scene. A song sequence involving actor Vijay Sethupathi was also canned in which he was also spotted dining with his gang at a make-shift dhaba (road-side eatery). The film, which is directed by Karthik Subbaraj, has a long shooting schedule of nearly a month in and around the holy city.

Despite a tight schedule, Rajini, according to a source, "has expressed his desire to visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple. The Thalaiva plans to visit the temple soon on one of the off days."
