J&K: Man abducted by militants found dead

The body of a man, who was abducted by militants from town, was found with his throat slit in Jammu and Kashmir's district Saturday, police said.

Tawseef (30), a resident of Tujjar area of Sopore, was abducted from his shop Wednesday, a said.

The body, was found in an orchard in the Check Harwan area of the north district Saturday morning, the said.

Preliminary investigations reveal that proscribed militant organisation (LeT) was behind the abduction and killing, he said.

The said police have registered a case and the matter is being investigated.
