Union Minister Ramdas Athawale on Friday said that it’s true that Muslims were subjected to atrocities in the name of “cow protection”. However, he urged Muslims to come forward for protecting the cows.

Speaking at the launch of the book “Musalmaan and Yogi Adityanath”, Athawale stressed on the need for unity among Hindus and Muslims and said that it was essential for making India a strong country.

He also claimed that originally a Buddhist shrine existed on the disputed land in Ayodhya.

The minister urged Hindus and Muslims to wait for the Supreme Court verdict for the resolution of Ayodhya dispute.
