NEW DELHI: The Election Commission of India on Saturday announced single phase assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram and two-phase polls for Chhattisgarh.
The counting for all the five states will be held on December 11.
While Madhya Pradesh and Mizoram will vote on November 28, Rajasthan and Telangana will go to polls on December 7.

EC delayed press meet for announcing poll dates for Modi's speech: Congress
The Election Commission (EC) is set to announce Saturday afternoon the poll schedules for Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said, "The EC was supposed to hold a press conference at 12.30 pm to announce polls in four states. But, it was postponed to 3 pm."
Chhattisgarh will vote in two phases. The first phase of voting will be held on November 12 for 18 assembly constituencies, while the second phase of polls for 72 constituencies will be held on November 20.
