Sinhgad Institutes bags third position in Sweden-India Nobel Memorial Quiz 2018

PUNE: Competing with some of the best teams in the region Jayma Jagdeeshwaran, Abhishek Muthange and Asha Parwani of Sinhgad College of Engineering bagged the second runner-up position in the prestigious Sweden-India Nobel Memorial Quiz 2018 held recently.

A statement issued by the Sinhgad Institute, said that the first position was bagged by IIT Bombay. Bjorn Holmgren, Consul, Consulate General of Sweden handed out the prizes at the inter-collegiate quiz competition which saw avid quizzers from across some of the most reputed colleges of the region.

The statement added that, Jayma, Abhishek and Asha who formed the Sinhgad team were very enthusiastic about their achievement. On winning the third prize they said that they would work hard and definitely get the first position in 2019. Abhishek was very optimistic about winning right from the beginning. No matter how tough the competition he was sure that his team will be in the top three.

An avid quizzer, Abhishek has won many prizes in numerous quiz competitions. He is now headed for The Quiz on the Beach’ organized by TAPMI Manipal scheduled on October 14 and thereafter for ‘Tata Crucible’ by Tata Group scheduled in February 2019.

The quiz is open to all Indian students currently enrolled at colleges/universities in India. Students are required to form teams of 3 members, all from the same institution.
The prize for National quiz champions will be an all-expenses paid trip to Sweden.
