Miami Dade College’s InterAmerican Campus Presents its Season of the Arts

downloadIn an effort to highlight different forms of expression, Miami Dade College’s (MDC) InterAmerican Campus Gallery will celebrate art and its artists. Located in the heart of Little Havana, the gallery strives to showcase the community’s diverse cultural background and love of the arts. These exhibitions will take place between Fall 2018 through Summer 2019. Events are free and open to the public.

Veteran’s Day Showcase

 

A display of artifacts and arts from the Miami Military Museum, community, and students chronicling the sacrifices and accomplishments of the Armed Forces and Veterans. A special display of posters commemorating 1918, the year WWI ended.

This Brings Me Peace

In 25 words or less, the IAC community shares why and how particular images give them peace. Both words and images will be on display.

Heriberto Mora’s images of beauty provide a pathway to hope as a counter to the often-turbulent headlines of everyday life.

Black Migrations: Faces and Places of Change in America

 

A collection of images from the HistoryMiami, Hampton House, and Wolfsonian archive chronicling the movements – past and present – of the Black Diaspora.

Visionary Women

Blogger and graphic artist Tabby McGuirk shares a collection of images and videos of inspiration for and about girls.

Emerging IAC Artists

This show highlights the most artistic and creative works made in studio classes during the academic year by continuing education students.
