The summit seeks to encourage public conversation around the elections amongst the youth
India, 5th October, 2018: Twitter is the best and fastest place to see what’s happening in India and across the world. With the 2018 Assembly Elections around the corner in Rajasthan, and political parties gearing up with their respective election manifestos, Twitter in partnership with Youth ki Awaaz is hosting a #DemocracyAdda Summit in Jaipur. From topics like digital education, the importance of voting, employment and more, the event seeks to encourage the youth to debate and discuss key societal issues today.

The event #DemocracyAdda, jointly organized by Twitter India and Youth ki Awaaz will be held at Lemon Tree Hotel, Jaipur tomorrow from 3pm to 5pm. It will witness three panel discussions on: Social Media and Elections, The Urban Vote and Elections, and Local Issues and the Elections, featuring prominent youth voices such as: Dr Vipin Yadav (Congress IT Cell), Hirendra Kaushik (BJP IT Cell), Dr Bhavya Soni (Professor at FMS Rajasthan University), Abhishek Pandey (AAP Campaign Coordinator – Rajasthan), Anant Sharma (Founder – CANS), Kartik Bajoria (Writer, Columnist, Educator), Anshu Harsh (Editor-in-Chief, Simply Jaipur Magazine), Abhishek Pandey (AAP Campaign Coordinator, Rajasthan), Ved Arya (CEO – Srijan), Archana Sharma (Vice-President, RPCC), Mr Ashok Lahoty (Mayor of Jaipur, BJP), and Archana Relan (Incubation Manager, Banasthali Vidyapith).
Commenting on the collaboration with Youth ki Awaaz for #DemocracyAdda, Mahima Kaul (@misskaul), Head- Public, Policy and Government, Twitter India said, “As the next generation of leaders, the youth has a significant role to play in driving opinions and bringing key issues to light. Panel 1: Social Media and Elections: How is social media becoming an important tool for the Assembly Elections for parties/ leaders.
