GURUGRAM: Three minor girls were raped in various parts of the city in a span of 24 hours. The cases were registered on Friday.
In the first case, a 19-year-old vegetable vendor, Sonu, was arrested for raping a Class VI student in Chakkarpur village on Thursday. The girl was taken for a medical examination, where doctors confirmed
rape.
An FIR was registered against the accused under Section 6 of the
POCSO Act and Section 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC at
Sector 29 police station and the accused was arrested.
“He confessed to his crime. He was produced in a city court on Friday and was sent to judicial custody,” said inspector Ajay Veer Bhadana, SHO, Sector 29 police station.
In Dhunela village, the father of a 14-year-old girl alleged that his neighbour’s wife lured his daughter into their home where the husband raped her.
“On Thursday night, my wife told me that Khanak, our neighbour, has taken our daughter to her home. When we went to their house, calling out our daughter’s name, there was no reply. After half an hour, my daughter returned home and told us that Khana’s husband Irshad raped her,” he told cops.
An FIR was registered against the couple under relevant sections at Bhondsi police station.
“The couple is absconding. The main accused, 26-year-old Irshad, is a tractor driver,” said inspector Umesh Kumar, SHO of Bhondsi police station.
In the third case, a 15-year-old girl was raped by her 20-year-old relative, Sushil, in
Bilaspur Chowk. He was arrested on Friday.
“My son’s brother-in-law lives nearby and came home regularly. On Wednesday night, he found my daughter alone inside the house and raped her. She later told me what had happened, and that the accused had raped her twice before,” the father said in his complaint.
An FIR was registered against the accused under Section 6 of the POCSO Act at the women’s police station in Manesar.
