Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar is going to New Delhi on Friday to attend a meeting convened by the Election Commission. The CEO is expected to brief the election authority about the progress of the revision of electoral rolls as the deadline for disposing of claims and objections received till September 25 is ending on Friday.
“The meeting is primarily for discussion about the finalisation of the electoral rolls. I am also a member of the committee constituted by the EC on roll-related issues,” Mr. Rajat Kumar said.
Asked whether there was any communication from the EC relating to the implementation of second phase of Rythu Bandhu programme, Mr. Rajat Kumar said no communication had been received so far.
