A number of major contracts on supplies of Russian weapons to India are at the last stages of preparation, and Russia's state arms exporter Rosoboronexport hopes to sign them soon, Director General Alexander Mikheev said on Friday.
"Rosoboronexport is ready to cooperate with India in any areas. A number of other major contracts on Russian weapons supplies to India are at the last stages of preparation, and we hope to sign them soon," Mikheev said.
Meanwhile, in New Delhi, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Russia and India have not signed an agreement to supply India's Navy with four Russian frigates of Project 11356.
"No, the work will continue," Peskov said when asked whether the relevant agreement had been signed during the visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin to India.
