The South-Western Railway has decided to extend the service of Bengaluru-Shivamogga daily superfast express train upto Talaguppa.
In a press release, Mysuru division of South Western Railway has said that this will come into effect from October 10.
No. 20651 will run as superfast express from Bengaluru to Shivamogga and as an ordinary express from Shivamogga to Talaguppa. Commercial stoppage on the extension route will be provided at Anandapuram and Sagar-Jambagaru stations.
The schedule is: Shivamogga (19.55 p.m., arrival and 20.00 p.m., departure); Anandapuram (21.08 p.m. arrival and 21.10 p.m. departure); Sagar-Jambagaru (21.38 p.m. arrival and 21.40 p.m. departure) and Talaguppa (22.15 p.m. arrival).
From October 11, the Shivamogga-Bengaluru daily superfast express train (No. 201652) will commence service from Talaguppa. It will run as an ordinary express train from Talaguppa to Shivamogga and as superfast express train from Shivamogga to Bengaluru.
The time-table: Talaguppa (3.50 a.m. departure); Sagar-Jambagaru (04.08 a.m. arrival and 04.10 a.m. departure); Anandapuram (04.38 a.m. arrival and 04.40 a.m. departure) and Shivamogga (06.05 a.m. arrival and 06.40 a.m departure).
The trains will have one AC chair car, 18 second class sitting coaches and two luggage-cum-brake vans.
